The National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF) Board of Directors offers several scholarships each year to qualified Ph.D. and graduate level students who are actively pursuing dairy-related fields of research which are of immediate interest to the dairy industry and NMPF member cooperatives.
Organized in 1916, NMPF is the oldest farm commodity organization in the United States and continues to represent the interests of dairy cooperatives that are owned and operated by dairy farm families. NMPF provides a forum through which dairy farmers and dairy cooperatives may formulate national policy on issues effecting the production of milk and dairy beef.
NMPF encourages graduate-level students who are working in a dairy-related field of research to submit an application. Recommended fields of study include but are not limited to:
Agriculture Communications and Journalism
Genetics
Animal Health
Herd Management
Environmental Science
Marketing and Price Analysis
